First, I’d like to thank you for your continued loyalty and business with Market Street Grill. It has been a privilege. The last 10 years have been quite an adventure. With your help, we’ve survived illnesses, a broken leg, and COVID. We’ve prepared nearly 14,000 healthy and hearty meals that were distributed to those less fortunate through our One for One program. We’ve had a front row seat through many weddings, reunions, baby showers and celebrations of life. We have connected with people on so many levels and have developed lasting friendships. The success of Market Street Grill has largely been due to our amazing customer base, and our exceptional employees. We have tried hard to ensure each person we have had the privilege to serve enjoyed good, healthy, delicious meals. We are very grateful to you for trusting us.
As you are likely aware, I made the decision several months ago to retire to spend more time with my family. I sold the restaurant but had agreed to stay on for a period to help with the transition to the new owners. The new owners, however, have chosen to go in a different direction; one in which I won’t be playing a part. As a result, I am compelled to close Market Street Grill permanently, effective immediately.
I wish to thank you again for your patronage, your friendship and support, and especially the memories. From all of us at Market Street Grill, it’s been an honor.
With gratitude,
Diane Shuman, owner

Open for Dine-In Starting Monday, April 5!
Yea! Colusa County has finally graduated to the Red Tier, effective Sunday, March 14. We're excited that we are finally seeing some positive changes in the COVID19 situation. What that means for restaurants is that we are finally permitted to allow dine-in patrons at 25% of our capacity. You may be surprised however to learn we have chosen not to open dine-in just yet.
Throughout this pandemic, we at Market Street Grill have taken every precaution, from suspending dine-in operations, creating an open air patio for dining, additional cleanings, to requiring masks of our employees and our guests. Vaccines have just rolled out for Food Service Workers; we are in the midst of ensuring that all of our staff have been inoculated prior to reopening for dine-in. This is a big part of our commitment to our community. We want to be part of the solution. It's just a little bit longer, and we feel it's an important component to protecting your, and our, safety. We appreciate your understanding - we'll reopen on Monday, April 5!
PATIO DINING NOW AVAILABLE
July 26, 2020
Check out our new patio dining area. Although we are still working on it, it's available now for you to enjoy your meal outdoors.
Just a reminder that you can order on-line if you wish. By taking advantage of this simple system, you avoid the line in the restaurant, helping you to keep social distance. We make your order to go, and deliver it curbside, or to one of our patio tables if you'd like to enjoy the outdoors. Just let us know. You can order here on our website by clicking on the "Order Now" button on our menus page. Our breakfast and lunch menus are available until 2PM; our Grab 'n Go dinners are available from 2PM until 6PM. (We do close at 2PM on Wednesdays so we can head to the Arbuckle Farmers Market - you can catch up with us there!)

INDOOR DINING CLOSED
July 10, 2020
Effective immediately, State mandate is requiring all restaurants in Colusa County to close all dine-in operations for at least the next three weeks. Although contact tracing has no verified links between restaurants, bars, or any other business operation in Colusa County and the increase in COVID19 cases, the State has unilaterally moved forward with the order to mandate the closures.
Although we cannot offer dining inside the restaurant at this time, we will continue to offer TO-GO orders. Customers may come into the restaurant to order, but we ask you to please wear a mask. (If you don’t have one, we will be happy to supply you with one.) We encourage you to order over the phone at 458-6100, or on-line on our website at www.marketstgrill.com. Ordering on-line will save you time, allowing you to customize your order, and pay for it in advance. When you reach our parking lot, just give us a call and we will bring your order out to you. Our full breakfast and lunch menus, as well as frozen yogurt, will be available from 7AM until 2PM daily. From 2PM until 6PM we offer our Grab ‘n Go dinners, and frozen yogurt only. This week’s Grab ‘n Go dinners include our Dinner Entrée Salads.

We are in the process of putting together an outside seating area, and hope to have tables available for you within the week. We are also taking a look “outside the box” for ways we can better serve you within the parameters we’ve been given. As our plans develop, we’ll keep you in the loop.
I know this has been a crazy time; keeping up with the changes has been mind boggling and frustrating. Trust though that we are in this together. We remain dedicated to serving you to the best of our ability, with the same excellent quality you have come to expect. We take every precaution inside the restaurant; our employees will continue to wear masks to protect you, we will maintain our additional daily cleanings, and our deep cleaning at night. COVID or not, we are committed to bringing you the best,
Best wishes, stay safe and healthy. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions, or if there is something we can do to help you. You can reach me at 530-300-1411 if you’d like to chat or email me at marketstgrill@gmail.com.

COVID-19 Precautions
July 6, 2020
I am sure by now you have seen the news that Colusa County is on the Governor's COVID-19 Watch List. What that means to us is that the number of cases has risen dramatically. According to the State Department of Health, "Increased transmissions in Colusa County has been traced back to increased family and social gatherings". As I understand it, if we remain on the watch list for 3 consecutive days, we may be asked to roll back to a previous stage of opening. For restaurants in the county, this could mean take-out only, or outside dining only, or even in an extreme case, closure.
At Market Street Grill, we are active in the battle against COVID-19. All our employees wear masks during their shift. We disinfect all frequently touched surfaces several times daily, as well as additional disinfection after our close each day. We provide a touch-free sanitizer station for our guests to use (located near the front door), as well as sanitizer wipes throughout the restaurant. For now, our Frozen Yogurt is all full serve, rather than self serve; it will remain so until we get a handle on this virus. And of course, we wash, wash, wash our hands!
In light of this recent uptick in cases, and the fact that we are on the watch list, we are adding additional measures.
-
We are working on outside seating for our "to-go" guests
-
We are taking a look at our seating layout and how we might maximize it, while minimizing seating loss.
-
We ask that you use the hand sanitizer dispenser as you walk in to help protect yourself and others.
-
We are also asking that our customers wear masks while in the restaurant. Obviously, we don't expect you to try to eat with one on, but we do ask that you wear a mask any time you are not seated at a table. That would include waiting in line to order, getting refills for drinks, heading to the restroom, or when you are leaving. We will have a limited supply of masks available (donated by North Valley Community Foundation and distributed by the Colusa County Chamber of Commerce) for those that do not have one.
We appreciate your patronage, and the confidence you have in us. Small businesses like ours are especially impacted by imposed restrictions that result in reduced hours, services, or jobs. We are doing everything we can to keep that from happening. Speaking on behalf of the dozen people who depend upon Market Street Grill for their livelihood, I'd like to thank you for joining us in the battle against this nasty virus.

An Important Message About COVID19
March 17, 2019
To Our Valued Friends and Family,
At Market Street Grill, we understand there is a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the current unprecedented situation with the Corona virus and want to assure you that we are taking it very seriously.
Alongside our already strict standards for hygiene and food safety, we are making additional efforts to help combat the spread of this, and any other virus or germs out there. It has always been our practice to disinfect all public surfaces multiple times daily; now we are being even more diligent by adding additional cleanings throughout the day. We are also in the process of installing touch-free hand sanitizer stations for your use. We encourage our guests to use these stations prior to handling any surfaces that are used by other patrons, including coffee pot taps and creamers, yogurt taps and toppings serving spoons. And in accordance with the CDC and basic hygiene practices, we encourage everyone to wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands!
We also understand that some of our guests may be immuno-compromised, or simply prefer to stay away from public places while there’s still so much uncertainty surrounding this virus. We want to do everything we can to serve you and meet your needs. If you’d like to place an order to-go, just give us a call when you arrive in our parking lot and we’ll be happy to bring your order out to you to save you a trip inside. Our complete menu is on our website at www.marketstgrill.com, where you can simply place your order on-line, or give us a call at 458-6100.
We will all get through this together. We continue to monitor the advice of the CDC and Public Health agencies and will act accordingly. For the latest updates, visit the CDC’s website at www.cdc.gov. Please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can serve you best.
Best of health to you,
Diane
